Product Description Say Hello to a New Kind of Digital Frame. The Pix-Star Webframe is a home device ahead of its time. It is the only digital photo frame to receive and send email without a monthly fee, it displays beautiful 600 x 800 resolution photos on an 8” screen, but in addition to this, it serves as a WiFi solution to manage your home’s energy consumption.

Perfect for Mom and Dad July 16, 2010 Don Kerzel (Oregon) Purchased this for a present for my dad, as it was the only "connected" frame that didn't seem to have little issues. It's been up and running for a couple of weeks now with no issues at all. Setup was quick - 20 minutes including setting up a new wireless access point! And it works like advertised - I setup an e-mail address, shared it, and bing - photos started announcing themselves. I changed the default so that approval isn't required, new photos are just announced - so nothing is required by Mom and Dad. The only thing that I wish it would allow me to do - is rotate pictures on the on-line "mailbox" view, so that I don't have to teach them how to rotate through the frame's menu (I could simply rotate pictures through their account). Other than that it's hands free for them, and we've been shipping off a few pictures a day to them - which they've loved.
What all digital picture frames should be! July 10, 2010 B. Yarger (Portland, OR) WIFI and picture quality were the most important features in my picture frame purchase. I wanted a frame that could grab pictures from my online photo albums and display them at high resolution. This frame handles that beautifully. I manage my photos with Picasa and have the frame grab them from my online album. There are many other supported online photo service options such as Flickr etc, and you can use the FrameChannel if you prefer. I get weather updates online too!

br /The picture quality is great. It has a higher resolution than many of the other frames out there. You want that to really enjoy your pictures. I have been very happy with the resolution, color quality and brightness of the screen.

br /This is a great frame to give as a gift as well. I got one for my folks and my in-laws. Every time I put new pictures online I update their frames. They get to see the pictures without having to lift a finger. Great for those non tech savvy family members.

br /Lastly, the customer service is fantastic. I have always received a fast response. We had one problem with my in-laws frame where the wireless feature stopped working. After looking into the matter, customer service determined the wireless hardware had malfunctioned and immediately shipped a new frame. Can't ask for more than that!

LOVE IT! March 17, 2010 Julie N. Burgart (Okinawa, Japan) I bought this frame for my parent for Christmas so that they could see pictures of our son (we live in another country). My parents are in their 50s and and not super techy but they figure it out no problem! They absolutely love this frame. We use it in conjunction with a wifi SD card. I love how you can just literally email a picture to the frame and it is there within seconds (literally like maybe 15 we've tested it).

The Best Digital Photo Frame March 16, 2010 Erico Panaro (USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
In my opinion Pix-Star is the best Digital Photo Frame. The integration with web albuns and the possibility of send photos by mail to it is Fantastic!
This Frame Does The Job February 13, 2010 Alfred G. Hering 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my mother so that her kids and grandchildren could keep her supplied with photos of their lives (spread out around the country). She's had a digital frame that uses SD cards only, and she prefers that format over photo prints or emailed photos.

br /This frame delivers what I've been looking for. We can manage the Pix-Star and the Picasa files for her, and all she has to do is enjoy. She hasn't seen it yet (birthday surprise) but I've been giving it a workout for the last week or so. It does what I hoped it would do, and so far it's been fairly simple and bug-free.

br /Contrary to another review, I've found the wireless to work as well as my HP laptop. And while I agree with the review that indicated problems with the Pix-Star website in early January (I experienced the same problems), the Pix-Star folks promptly sent out an explanation of issues they were having; and the site has been very responsive since. This is important, since the value of the product depends on the ongoing performance of the free web service they provide.
